Endangered Species Tours
These tours are approximately an hour-and-a-half long and include an educational classroom session as well as a full-length tour of the animal habitats. This walking tour includes approximately a mile of walking and guests are accompanied by an informative tour guide during your entire experience.

Field Trips
The Endangered Wolf Center offers unique options for field trips. Depending on the season, students will have the rare opportunity to view some of the world’s most endangered wolves and other canids. Field Trips are offered every day, except Tuesdays, from 9 am to 2 pm. Reservations are required, please call 636-938-5900.

Virtual Visits
The Endangered Wolf Center is bringing our popular Animal Ambassadors into your home. Virtually, that is. During this special virtual session, you and your household will have the chance to ask questions, see our animals up-close, and chat with our expert animal keepers.

Private Tours
This private two-hour guided tour is the ideal way to experience the Endangered Wolf Center, with an exclusive look at additional wolf habitats not included in the public tour. Tailored to what you most want to see and learn, we’ll share insights we’ve gathered over four decades of working with and for wolves and other animals in our care. Two-hour private campfire howls are also available. Call for more information.

VIP Tour
This one-and-a-half-hour tour is consistently a favorite among our guests because it offers a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes.You’ll also get to meet some of our animal ambassadors, African painted dogs and maned wolves. We’ll also pay a visit to one of our smaller species, the swift fox.

Keeper for the Day
If you think our keepers have the coolest jobs in the world, well, you may be right. Follow along on their daily adventures of taking care of some of the most endangered apex predators in the world. Learn how their unique and world-renowned techniques prepare wolves for a life in the wild. Also learn how our non-release animals are trained and see them up-close.

Photography Tour
The photography tour offered here at the Endangered Wolf Center is a unique behind-the-scenes tour guided by one of our expert Education staff, which can be reserved for one to five hours. It is designed to allow professional and novice photographers time to try different locations, use different cameras and lenses, and work in the beautiful natural lighting conditions on property.

Foxy Fun Encounter
Our fennec fox, Arctic fox and melanistic red fox animal ambassadors are famous for stealing the show and stealing hearts. Unreleaseable in the wild, they’re here helping us educate people about the exotic pet trade, the truth behind the inhumane practices of the fur trade and how to be advocates for their future. Seasonally available from June to mid-January.

Enrichment Experience (add-on)
The Enrichment Experience at the Endangered Wolf Center gives visitors the rare and wonderful opportunity to help provide the animals in our care with exercise and stimulation. This program is usually purchased as an add-on experience and does not include a tour of the rest of our animals.

Animal Trainer Experience (add-on)
Join us for an inside look at how our animal care staff helps train some of our animal family during this insightful tour. Training is part of our animals’ enrichment program, since it allows them to be stimulated and positively rewarded for their cooperation. This program is meant as an add-on, includes one species of our animals, and does not include a tour of the rest of the facility.

Evening Wolf Howl
This popular evening program is a fun and educational opportunity to listen to unique and entertaining stories about wolf communication before walking out toward the wolf habitats to howl at our wolves…and see who’s willing to howl back. Please note: You will not have the opportunity to view the wolves during this program.

Private Campfire Wolf Howl
Whether you’re looking for a girls night out idea, a team-building evening, or something fun to do with friends and family in St. Louis, reserve your own private fireside event for up to 50 people, including a howl-out to our wolves, who most usually are happy to howl back..

Spend your summer in the wild! Learn about Mexican wolves, red wolves, maned wolves, swift foxes, fennec foxes, African painted dogs, and more from local animal experts and ambassadors.

Birthday Party
You provide the treats and decorations and we’ll provide our special setting and canine friends, complete with an added surprise gift for the birthday boy or girl. The party takes place in our spacious outdoor campfire area complete with picnic tables and benches, and includes a full length tour to see our eight different species of canids. Select indoor options are available November through February only.
