Where Paws Meet Canvas and Howls Fill the Night
Did you know numerous four-legged artists call the Endangered Wolf Center home? This is your opportunity to see their paws in action! Watch as our Animal Care team works with some resident canids to create colorful masterpieces and learn how doing so allows them to participate in their own veterinary care.
Afterward, enjoy a campfire and listen to the awe-inspiring howl of two of the most endangered wolves in the world. Want something to remember your visit? All artwork created during this event will be available for purchase at our gift shop!
Highlights
See positive-reinforcement training in action
This type of communication forms the foundation for the reward-based training philosophy we use here at the Endangered Wolf Center. During this experience, you'll meet some of our animal residents who participate in training programs with our Animal Care team, specifically some resident artists!
Why training is beneficial to the animals in our care
Training is part of our enrichment program for some of our animals and is important because it allows our animal care team to encourage our animals to participate in their own veterinary care. By providing positive stimulation and rewards for their cooperation, training is beneficial and enjoyable.
