Our Center’s Most Popular Tour

While many people have been conditioned since Little Red Riding Hood to think of wolves only as predators and all predators as villains, not so in animal world. In fact, top predators play an irreplaceable role in the wild.

This tour is a shared experience for up to 30 participants. Private tours are also available exclusively for you and your guests.

Tour Highlights

Why the wild needs wolves

Predator and prey both play an important, interrelated role in the health, stability and sustainability of an ecosystem. Remove the top dog from any food chain – whether it’s lions on the Serengeti or wolves in Yellowstone, hunted to extinction in the 1930s – and entire ecosystems begin to collapse.

Who you’ll see

Visit the Mexican wolves, red wolves, maned wolves, swift foxes and African painted dogs at our Center and learn why each are endangered in the wild, and how you can help ensure their survival from anywhere in the world you call home.

What you’ll do

There are so many myths about wolves and wild animals out there, and I love how this tour helps dispel them. It’s time we stop labeling wolves and other top predators as the bad guys and learn to appreciate their essential roles in the wild.
